Do you accept insurance?

Essex Therapy is currently a private pay practice. This allows us to provide highly individualized care without insurance restrictions on session length, frequency, or treatment approach.

Upon request, We can provide a superbill for families who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.

If you have questions about your specific plan, we are happy to guide you through the process.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that you submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement for therapy services.

Because Essex Therapy is a private pay practice, payment is made directly to the practice at the time of service. If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement.

After payment, we can provide you with a superbill that includes:

Your child’s diagnosis code

The type of service provided

Date of service

Session length

Our provider information and credentials

You would then submit this document to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Do you offer private pay?

Yes. Private pay allows therapy to be personalized, flexible, and focused entirely on your child’s needs.

We will discuss rates and payment details during your initial consultation so you feel fully informed before beginning services.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held in a comfortable, friendly setting designed to promote engagement and connection.

How long are sessions?

Most therapy sessions are 30–60 minutes, depending on you or your loved one's age, attention span, and treatment plan.

Consistency is key to progress, and we will recommend a frequency that supports meaningful growth.

Do you collaborate with schools?

Yes. With parent permission, we are happy to collaborate with teachers, child study teams, and other providers to ensure your child receives cohesive support across settings.

We understand the educational system and can help families navigate it confidently.

What ages do you work with?

We work with children from infancy through school age, and we also have experience supporting adolescents and adults.

Do you provide evaluations?

Yes. We offer comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess articulation, language development, social communication, and more.
